Derek's Thunder Bay Region Pictures
These are all the pictures I have taken in the Thunder Bay area. Including minor trips, like Duluth, Lutsen or whatever. Basically, if they are in within an hour or two of Thunder Bay, I put them here. I've broken them up with the dashed lines to show the different cameras I used along the way. My newest Camera, a Canon Digital Rebel SLR takes a nice pic, and have been majorly reduced to put up on the web, if you would like a higher rest of anything you see, let me know.

Centennial Park Spring 2001 - Went with Cheryl for a walk
Duluth 2001 - Went down and visited the OmniMax and new Aquarium with Cheryl
Ouimet Canyon 2001 - really hot day, blech

Gargantua 2001 - A nice bay in Lake Superior Provincial Park
Medieval Dinner Theatre - Staff of TSB went out Friday, September 14th for some fun.
My 32nd Birthday - Went to Wawa this year, just took it easy, too much has happened already this year.
USA Cascades 2001 - Went down alone this winter to take some shots of the frozen waterfalls and area. Peaceful.
Floodway 2001 - Never went to the waterfront here before, just took a drive out and a walk alone.
Dan & Tonya's Wedding - Went with Cheryl for my date, didn't want to go alone, turned out to be fun.
Hallowe'en 2002 - no pics, took the camera out and didn't snap one. But I had a couple taken of me, so here they are
Centennial Park 2003 - Just went through, decent enough place, but starting to get a bit crowded with people, page not made yet, but pics are there
Eagle River - New place near Ouimet Canyon, Ontario's longest suspension bridge
Sleeping Giant Provincial Park - Zipped up here for a weekend getaway
Dragonboat Racing - down at Boulevard Lake, also have a pan going on there over about 8 pics
Centennial Park Spring 2004 - I seem to go to this place a fair bit, dragged a good friend Jenna with me, she doesn't like her picture taken, but I got her backside in one.
Thunder Bay Fall 2004 - Just drove around the countryside taking some pics, plus Chester our local squirrel and my car in there
TBay Cascades 2005 (Winter) - Started going for regular walks with a new friend called Sue, again, no pic of her, ladies just don't want to be in front of the camera.
Centennial Park Sping 2005 - Like a tradition, I always return in spring to see the snow melt. One of my first walks with Aziel.

To give you an idea, some of the original Kakabeka Falls 2005 pics are over 8,000k (8meg) each, they have been reduced to 100-200k a piece
Some of the Gang - Just bought the new camera, tested it by taking pics at Jeff's house of Jeff, Sarah, Aziel, Pat, we played some Texas-Hold'em and Nintendo Gamecube and the next weekend Shannon and Todd were running in a race, so couple of them there
Cascades (USA) 2005 - Went down with Aziel, was a nice warm day and a good day for a hike, late May 2005
Kakabeka Falls 2005 - Went hiking through the traisl at Kakabeka Falls early summer with Aziel
Duluth 2005 - Aziel has never been to Duluth, so took her to the Zoo, OmniMax and some general site
Canada Day 2005 - Well now that I have an SLR, I tried again, to take some pics of fireworks, I think they turned out pretty good, neato eh?
Agawa Valley 2005 - Camping out at Lake Superior Provincial Park with Aziel, and some hiking around the Awausee Trail, back at the mouth of the river I canoed the year before!
Wattse's Wedding - Took Aziel and had some drinks, some fun at Wattse's Wedding Reception, first pics of me and Aziel together
Mt. McKay 2005 - Went and climbed up, never found the trail up, so we basically climbed and skirted the side of it, but found the 10min trail down. Too bad it was foggy!
Thunder Bay Marina 2005 - Went out October early morning and got pics of the Marina
Raven Ecoadventures - Thunder Bay Hiking Club, early November hike out past Nolalu and Suomi
Pigeon River - Aziel went snowshoeing and I went Cross Country Skiing on this beautiful day to Pigeon River
Duluth Spring 2006 - Just needed to get away for a weekend, Aziel and I zipped down to Duluth for some Aquarium, OmniMax and to Ely for the Wolf Centre
Easter in Wawa - Went down to Wawa for Easter but most of the pictures are of Old Woman Bay in Lake Superior Provincial Park where we went hiking
Canadian Snowbirds - Snowbirds gave a show down at the Marina. Last year one of them crashed but escaped without injury, made news.
Finlay Bay and Middlebrun Bay - A trail out at Sleeping Giant Provincial Park
Cascades 2006 - A local watering hole that much of the locals go to take a swim, and many youth like to drink late at night, unfortunate because I don't think they know how to clean up bottles and just break them instead.
Dragonboat 2006 - We put in 3 teams this year, MTO, MNR and the Uncivil bunch. I was in the uncivils, but helped the MTO in their final race.
Lake Superior by Wawa - after the wedding we spent the next day exploring the Wawa area, just took some pictures down by the Lake
Quetico Park 2006 - Went canoeing into the Park with the Thunder Bay Hiking Club
Top of the Giant 2006 - Hiked up to the Top of the Giant, then we felt why not, headed down to the knees as well, good arduous hike!
