The AEA (Aerial Experiment Association) was formed in 1907 by Alexander Graham Bell and four other men joined him, John Alexander Douglas (J.A.D.) McCurdy, Frederick “Casey” Baldwin, Glenn H. Curtiss and Thomas Selfridge. On this day 100 years ago they made the first controlled powered flight in the Canada and the British Empire.
